The Truth, Plainly Stated
We asked for a debate. The voters asked. The grassroots asked. Even Governor DeSantis called the refusal to hold a debate disrespectful to the people of Florida.
It didn't matter. The Republican Party of Florida shut it down.
No debates. No questions. No chance to see the candidates side by side, under pressure, forced to earn our trust. We were treated like an afterthought: disrespected, dismissed, and told to fall in line.
Many good people are now considering sitting this election out. Some are even looking across the aisle. Not out of anger, but out of a sense that their voice simply does not matter.
We understand that feeling. We share it. It is not bitterness. It is the natural response to being taken for granted once too often.
We believe our voices do matter. And we believe there is a path forward that brings everyone back to the table.
